The office of Amir Mann and Ami Shinar was established in 1991,  today with a staff of 40, focuses on architectural design, full Architecture & Engineering (A&E), multidisciplinary team management and urban design – in a wide spectrum of projects, ranging from new office/ hi-tech complexes, airports, transportation facilities, public buildings, commercial projects as well as urban masterplans.

Amir Mann, AIA, graduated the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology (1977) and Harvard Graduate School of Design (MAUD, 1983), worked in Boston for twelve years on a series of large commercial, office and public buildings, large scale historic renovation projects in the cities of Lowell and Charlestown, Massachusetts, as well as health-care projects in the US, Canada, Australia, Singapore and Israel. Amir was the Design Manager and head of A & E team of the new Ramon International Airport, with responsibility for the 45 firms, including Arup, London. Amir is today the executive architect for the Israel National Library, Jerusalem (with Herzog de Mueron of Basel, Switzerland) and the LRT Red Line Depot in Petach-Tikva.

Ami Shinar, AIA, RA, graduated the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology (1976), worked for six years in Boston. During 1990-91 served as Chief Architect of Ministry of Housing, leading the planning of dozens of new quarters and cities all over Israel. Today Ami Shinar leads the National Outline Plan #1/ 13 – Distribution of airports and airfields in Israel,  new Haifa Waterfront Plan, The Polynom compound for the Israeli Navy in Haifa Port, four train stations for Israel Rail Co., Ashkelon Master, Kassif new city and more.

Since it was established in 1991, Amir Mann and Ami Shinar`s award winning work has been recognized in Israel for its uniqueness and search for excellence. The office has won many local and international design competitions and its work has been largely published.

 The firm has collaborated locally and internationally, with firms as Herzog & de-Mueron of Basel, Switzerland, ARUP (London), KPF (New York), KMD (San Francisco), CASE Technologies (Frankfurt), Obermeyer (Munich), Grimshaw (London & New York), Devis Assoc. (Slovakia) and more.
